I turned a year older on monday and I am now just getting over all the drinking i did during the weekend.
First of all we went to Cabo for a wedding and stayed at our first all inclusive. YES, I will do it again, butI came back bloated as a cow because I simply DRANK TOO MUCH.
I also finally got around replying everyone's messages for my birthday so that is good but yeah what a fun day. because of how little I posted a bunch of people messaged me like I'm sorry I missed it and I'm like bruh- it doesnt matter because I know you love me. and birthday wishes are never late when its love.
My husband bought me something I have wanted for years but have been unable to buy myself because I could not wrap my mind around getting it- too expensive, and now everyday I walk past it and shake my head at him, at me stunned at the gift and the ridiculousness of it all.
I'm thankful but I also like amused. Perhaps this is love, someone giving you what you refuse to give yourself.
Be that as it may It took me almost a week to get myself together post Cabo. and thats when It dawned on me that perhaps I am no longer a spring chicken. I woke up the day after I returned and promptly called in sick.
There was no way I was going to be able to get any work done, and because I was away I came back to a flood of tasks and me having meetings on fridays. and if you know me, you know I hate a friday meeting but I had a ton and survived.
Anyway looking forward to doing more writing this year I have been trying for years to commit to writing more and every year depending on whats happening I write less but lets see. this will be the year I just sit my ass down and do it.
I am also considering becoming a personal finance influencer but for writing and not video if that makes sense, the only thing though is that I fear it will get repetitive. Like in how many ways can someone tell you to spend less than you earn and invest the difference- which is really the premise of my personal finance philosophy that I want to share.
I even have a substack and everything. Anyway we'll see.
I also want to host a podcast for the topic but I'm dragging my feet. Lets see sha. 2027 is my year.
I really enjoyed this birthday was a tad skeptical ringing it in at teh club but at the same time I was like YOLO, perhaps its a good year to light it the fuck up!
